TLC Community Credit Union was founded in 1956, beginning its operation with only a card table and a cash box in the cafeteria of the Tecumseh Products Company. The name of the credit union at that time was Tecumseh Products Employees Credit Union. Its sole purpose was to serve employees of the Tecumseh Products Company. Through the years, TLC has experienced many changes in both name and membership. TLC is one of the largest credit unions in the area, and serves anyone that lives or works in Lenawee, Monroe, Washtenaw, Jackson, and Hillsdale Counties.
TLC Community Credit Union has three main functions:
- Help you save regularly
- Loan you money at fair interest rates
- Offer you a wide array of financial products and services
